On the eve of the final day of Our Lady of Mercy Academy, as I gave my tearful daughter a hug before leaving for her last full day of school, I ask one more favor of you, our supporters, who have given much to us in the last 6 months.

I share with you a picture of the friendship bracelets my daughter tirelessly made, between her schoolwork, studying for the SATs and working, for her remaining 48 classmates.…a token to unify and bind them together as they depart, and remind them of the special bond only an all-girls community can create. While leadership may have forsaken them, they have not forsaken each other.
So as you go about your day, please find time to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
For our daughters…for the faculty…for our alumnae…for future generations of young women - that we find a way for The Sisterhood to live on.
